Iron Mountain Inn Bed and Breakfast – Tour The Inn
This custom built log home, adjacent to the Cherokee National Forest, has views from its balconies and decks of Iron Mountain, Doe Mountain, Pond Mountain, Unaka Mountain, and even the North Carolina mountains!
Upon arriving at the top of the mountain, the most common expression is WOW! ‘What a view!’, and it is!
On the first floor of the Bed and Breakfast Inn there are the Entrance, Great Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen. A Large Deck surrounds the Inn for guests to relax, enjoy the views, and visit. On the second floor there are the Four Guest Rooms. Each Guest Room has views of the mountains and woods. Three of the rooms have Small Balconies.

Untangling from your car after a long drive, standing on the front porch welcoming you to ‘the top of the mountain’. Climb the steps, enter the front door and turn right into the Great Room. Again, the word which comes to mind is ‘WOW!’
The French doors are thrown open and you walk out on the open decks surrounding the Inn as you take in Mother Nature’s special place.
The Inn Bed and Breakfast Tour continues with a stop to snack on one of the famous Iron Mountain Inn chocolate chip cookies from the bottomless cookie jar before you head upstairs to one of the comfortable bedrooms and settle in.

Iron Mountain Inn Bed and Breakfast – The Great Room
The Great Room is also known as the ‘Gathering Room’ because it is here that guests make new friends, choose a book to enjoy from the Exchange Library, share a glass of wine or cool drink, or hot toddie depending on the season, play cards or other games, and even bring back take-out to enjoy on the decks watching the sunsets.
The Great Room is the largest room at the Inn. It runs the length of the Inn on the southwest side. There are widows and glass doors to let light in and great views and a deck to walk or sit and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
The Great Room has been used for weddings and banquets for our guests and their families. Guests gather here to meet new friends, plan the days events, write a letter, work or play on their computer, be ‘lazy’, watch the fire, browse the library for a good book, and play games.
